Welcome to the home page of the West Hartlepool Grammar School Old Boys Association website.
The Association was founded in the early part of the last century and has currently, a membership of around two hundred Old Boys of the School.
A yearly reunion dinner is held in Hartlepool – usually around the second Friday in October – and the Association publishes an annual bulletin, which is circulated to all members.
Whilst the School has a relatively short history, many thousands of boys have spent their formative years there and it boasts a proud record of academic and sporting achievement.
With the Bulletin and this website, we hope to provide Old Boys with an easily accessible record of photographic, documentary and other material relating to the School. We have experienced a number of problems in locating and retrieving some material and, in particular, the photographic galleries are missing many items and most do not carry the names of the boys and staff appearing in them. We would appreciate your help in providing names and missing pictures. The CONTACT US page provides a facility for this.
We hope that Old Boys who are not members of the Association will be encouraged to join us and contribute to the site any material they might possess.
There is a Members’ Forum and this offers a platform for the sharing and discussion of topics relating to the school.
